Ho girato un pochino in rete, ho sfogliato i libri che ho a casa...cercavo una frase che sintetizzasse in poche parole l'utilità della lettura. E ho trovato questa di Bacon. Esprime in breve quello che è per me la lettura. Fin da piccola, grazie a una cugina che amava i libri, sono stata iniziata all'arte ( o meglio alla dipendenza) del leggere. Ricordo che aveva una mansarda, che in realtà sembrava più una soffitta, dove aveva due o tre librerie stracolme di testi. E quando passavo le vacanze da lei sul lago, mi rintanavo sotto la pianta di kiwi a leggere e a fantasticare. Trovo che la lettura sia un modo stupendo di staccarsi dalla realtà: volare su una mongolfiera girando il mondo in 80 giorni, vivere tra Londra e Parigi non dimenticandosi che gli scoiattoli di Central Park sono tristi il lunedi, scoprire la Svezia grazie a un centenario che decise di fuggire da una casa di riposo...potrei continuare per ore...E da amante dei libri (con il loro ingombro, la loro innata capacità di raccogliere polvere, e la loro necessità di essere scovati) il mio sogno è sempre stato quello di trovare, un giorno, una libreria come quella del film  " C'è posta per te ", per potermi perdere tra i suoi scaffali e soprattutto nella sua atmosfera..Finchè, una libreria simile ( e non solo una, dell'altra vi parlerò in un altro post), l'ho trovata...e non era poi tanto distante. (Si sa, solitamente quando una cosa la si ha sotto il naso, si fatica a vederla..)E' a Iseo e si chiama, senza pretesa di originalità, La Libreria...E' piccola, accogliente e la proprietaria Paola è un punto di riferimento. In tante occasioni mi è capitato di entrare non sapendo cosa cercavo, ma sono sempre stata indirizzata bene soprattutto su titoli poco noti e comunque non fenomeni commerciali super pubblicizzati. Senza parlare poi, della disponibilità a procurare libri non disponibili.....se anche voi amate i libri, fateci un salto...e se avete bambini o fratelli o sorelle o nipoti, portateli con voi..il reparto dedicato ai più piccoli è molto molto carino..

I shot a little bit on the web, I leafed through the books I have at home ... looking for a phrase to encompass in a few words the usefulness of reading. And I found this by Bacon. Expressed in short what, the read is for me. Even as a child, thanks to a cousin who loved books, I was initiated to the art (or dependence) of reading. I remember he had a mansard , which actually looked more like a garret, where she had two or three bookcases overflowing with texts. And when I spent the holidays with her on the lake, I sit down under the plant of kiwi ,to read and fantasize. I think that reading is a wonderful way to break away from reality: fly in a hot air balloon traveling around the world in 80 days, living between London and Paris without forgetting that the squirrels in Central Park on Monday are sad, discover Sweden with a centennial decided to run away from a nursing home ... I could go on for hours ... And lover of books (with their size, their innate ability to collect dust, and their need to be discovered) my dream has always was to find, one day, a library like the movie "You've Got Mail", so I could lose one of its shelves and especially in its atmosphere .. Until, a similar library (and not just one of ' other will speak in another post), I found it ... and it was not so far away. (You know, usually when something you have it under your nose, it is hard to see ..) And  Is in Iseo and It'is called, with no claim to originality, The Library ... It' s small, cozy and the owner Paola a reference point. In many occasions I happened to come not knowing what I was looking for, but I have always been addressed well, especially on little-known titles, but not super commercial phenomena advertised. Not to mention, the willingness to provide books not available ..... if you love books, let us jump ... and if you have children or brothers or sisters or grandchildren, take them with you .. the department dedicated to the small is very very nice..And She has books in the original language..(The Library found in the Via Duomo in Iseo)
