Appena ho aperto questo blog, nei primi post, avevo detto che avrei parlato, oltre che della Franciacorta, anche delle zone limitrofe, la più importante delle quali è sicuramente il Lago d'Iseo e i paesi accoccolati sulle sue rive. Uno dei miei preferiti è sicuramente Sale Marasino..In esso troviamo sia la parte prettamente da vacanza con le spiagge, i porticcioli, l'imbarcadero ( nella zona che una volta era denominata solamente Sale) e anche la parte "annuale" con le colline ( nella zona un tempo denominata Marasino )e la possibilità di fare escursioni in Punta Almana.

Sale Marasino fu scelta nel 1500 come meta vacanziera delle famiglie nobili del tempo, e dall'acqua è possibile ammirare alcune delle ville più belle di tutto il lago: Villa Martinengo Villagana e Villa Dossi. Pur essendo un paese piuttosto piccolo (non arriva a 4000 abitanti), è molto attivo..in autunno si svolgono numerose sagre, tra cui Sale in Zucca, dedicata alle zucche con tanto di gara per l'ortaggio più grande ( ma di questa festa vi parlerò tra qualche mese..)Il prossimo weekend ( dal 17 al 19 maggio )invece, si svolgerà la 9a rievocazione storica medievale "Rivive l'Antica Valeriana" presso il borgo di Maspiano. La manifestazione prende il nome dall'antica strada che collega il basso all'alto sebino. Figuranti in costume, falconieri e artigiani, vi faranno vivere una giornata medievale...da non perdere soprattutto se avete bambini...

As soon as I started this blog in the first posts, I said that I would be speaking as well of Franciacorta, also the surrounding areas, the most important of which is definitely the Lake Iseo and villages squatting on its shores. One of my favorites is surely Sale Marasino .. In it we find both the purely from vacation with beaches, marinas, boat slip (in the area that was once known only Sale) and also the "annual" with hills (in an area once called Marasino) and the possibility to make excursions in Punta Almana.
Sale Marasino was chosen in 1500 as a holiday destination of the noble families of the time, and the water you can admire some of the most beautiful villas around the lake: Villa Martinengo Villagana and Villa Dossi. Despite being a rather small town (do not get to 4000 inhabitants), is very active .. in autumn there are numerous festivals, including Sale in Zucca, dedicated to pumpkins with lots of tender for the largest vegetable (but this party I'll talk about in a few months ..)and  the next weekend (May 17 to 19) instead, will host the 9th medieval reenactment "revival of the Ancient Valerian" at the village of Maspiano. The event takes its name from the ancient road connecting the south lake to north lake. In costume, falconers and craftsmen, will make you live a medieval day ... not to be missed especially if you have children ...
