B like Beer

L'ho sempre detto e sempre ribadito, in Franciacorta non c'è mica solo il vino: popolo di bevitori(mica tanto santi ;-) ) qui ce n'è veramente per tutti i gusti! 

Gironzolando (che è la mia seconda attività preferita dopo mangiare/bere), ho notato spesse volte un problema organizzativo delle comitive che affollano sempre più spesso le cantine della zona: alcuni partecipanti alle spedizioni alcoliche e culinarie, lamentano la necessità di farsi una birretta perchè, dicono, la preferiscono al vino, relegato a loro opinione alle grandi occasioni o alle cene simil formali. (e sempre più mi inquieta il rendermi conto che io non la penso decisamente così, dall'aperitivo, al pic-nic, alla cena vino e birra vanno di pari passo...forse, e dico FORSE, ho un problema) 

E quando sento ciò, paladina del territorio quale credo di essere, ovviamente snocciolo li due nomi agli ignari turisti : Birrificio Curtense e il Birrificio Badef !!!

Da un paio d'anni, in primavera, a Provaglio d'Iseo organizzano, nella bellissima cornice del Monastero di S.Pietro in Lamosa (sito cluniacense dell'anno 1000 dc che solo quello vale la gita) una bella manifestazione dedicata appunto alle birre artigianali, locali e non, chiamata torbiere in fermento : location d'effetto ma organizzazione easy e spensierata, buona musica, street food di qualità, e centinaia di ragazzi e ragazze di tutte le età...vi servono altri pretesti per farci un giro???secondo me no!

I always said that in Franciacorta there isn't only wine: People of drinkers (not so holy ;-) ), here there is really for all tastes!

Wandering around (which is my second favorite activity after eating / drinking), I often noticed some organizational problems of groups that fill up more frequently the wineries in the area: some participants of these " alcoholic and culinary expeditions " , complain about the need to drink a beer because , they say, they prefer it to wine, confined, in their opinion, to special occasions like formal dinners. (and more and more troubles me the realization that I do not think so: from the aperitif, to picnic, to the dinner,  wine and beer go "hand in hand" ... maybe, just MAYBE, I have a problem..)

And when I hear this, a paladin of the territory which I believe to be, obviously I give them two names: Brewery Curtense  and Brewery Badef !!!

From a couple of years, in the spring, in Provaglio d'Iseo is organized, in the beautiful setting of the Monastery of St. Peter in Lamosa (Cluny site of the year 1000 AD that by itself is worth the trip ) a beautiful event dedicated precisely to craft beers, local or otherwise, called  torbiere in fermento : spectacular location but easy and carefree organization, good music,  quality street food , and hundreds of boys and girls of all ages ... you need other excuses for a ride ??? I think not!
