We're back with the heading "Franciacorta Advisor" which this week hosts the winery Ronco Calino.
Born, twenty years ago thanks to Paolo Radici , an entrepreneur from Bergamo that had nothing to do with wine, except a large and fervent passion for the fruit of the vine that here, thanks above all to exposure, finds fertile ground to grow and be molded in the hands of oenologist , agronomist and cellar manager, supported by a trained and dedicated staff. The winery is quite small and quit young, produces about 60,000 bottles a year; all followed closely and with love. (Small wineries are my absolute favorite, but all activities in general, are shops, workshops or delis, if kept small dimensions, "absorb" the soul of who is dealing with, and this is found in the final result )
The wines are different from the various types of Franciacorta (saten, brut, millesimato, etc.) to Curtefranca red and white, the Pinot Noir and a sweet wine "Passito" made from chardonnay grapes.
Warm welcome that leads you to light footsteps to discover the cellar, room after room, perfume after perfume , and you know the productive theory them (this year are biological conversion !!!) and daily actions made to give a true sensory experience which translates into a glass ...
All this in one of my favorite spots in all of Franciacorta.
This one:

My Favourite? The Nature Franciacorta Brut Millesimato 2009 (Some time ago I bought bottles lying blessed cool, now is selling 2010).
