I love Christo

Come trovo le parole per descrivere una meraviglia che le parole non solo te le ha tolte di bocca ma pure dalla testa? Forse dovrei contattare quel genio di Christo e chiedergli se può fare un miracolo pure con me e costruirmi all'interno un ponticello che ricolleghi testa e bocca per far si che ritrovi il potere del linguaggio....
Qualcuno la chiama arte, qualcuno la chiama idea...chiamatela come vi pare..penso che il termine perfetto, dato anche il nome di quest'uomo visionario, sia MIRACOLO.
Miracolo perchè ha messo gli abitanti di questo pezzo di paradiso, che questo paradiso l'ha sempre un po' snobbato, in condizione di poter innamorarsi di nuovo della propria terra, guardandola con occhi nuovi, capendola forse un po' di più, rendendoli orgogliosi di esserci nati.
Miracolo perchè ha permesso di vivere un'esperienza che definire meravigliosa è solo riduttivo: è meravigliosa, magica, sorprendente, destabilizzante, accecante nel suo colore cangiante, chiassosa.
Miracolo perchè ha smosso pensieri, ha creato cultura facendo in modo che le persone si informassero e conoscessero.
Miracolo perchè ha portato l'attenzione del mondo su un territorio che esiste da sempre e da sempre è meta prediletta di quel turismo di nicchia che cerca qualità, accoglienza, bellezza ma senza quei fronzoli che non appartengono ad una cultura che mette al centro della propria vita il sacrificio e il duro lavoro.
Miracolo perchè ci sentiamo tutti un po' più patriottici (io sono molto campanilista, e la mia terra la amo alla follia e per me è il posto più bello del mondo, anche se il mondo lo scopro viaggiando appena riesco), un po' più innamorati e fieri dei nostri paesini che finalmente hanno l'attenzione che meritano.
Miracolo perchè ha unito, non solo fisicamente in questo caso  ma anche in senso metaforico, tutti noi in un'approccio meravigliato a questa cosa che chiamo appunto Miracolo!
Ho visto tanti anziani camminare stupefatti guardandosi attorno, meravigliati dal poter raggiungere l'isola a piedi; bambini un po' spaventati che in braccio ai genitori trovavano rifugio; ragazzi e ragazze non più teenager che tornano piccoli, bocca spalancata di fronte a cotanta bellezza e migliaia di foto buffe; innamorati immortalare un bacio a pelo d'acqua....
Sono state mosse parecchie critiche a tutto questo. Il traffico, i disguidi coi treni/traghetti/bus, le code, i parcheggi..Tanta gente, tantissima, forse troppa per un paese piccolo come Sulzano che non ha la capacità di accogliere decine di migliaia di persone tutte insieme..
Ma fidatevi di me....Venite a vedere The Floating Piers, al di la di qualsiasi sterile polemica, va vissuto, perchè è un'opera magica che si vive e non si guarda soltanto...
Come Dorothy ho camminato sulla strada di mattoni gialli che conduce alla Città di Smeraldo rappresentata da Monteisola e dall'Isola di San Paolo...
Venite anche voi a conoscere questa terra meravigliosa...

How can I find the words to describe a wonderful thing that not only removes the words by the mouth but also from the head? Maybe I should ask to the genius of Christo and ask if He can do a miracle with me and build into me a bridge to reconnect  the head with the mouth to make sure that I find the power of language ....
Some call it art, some people call it idea ... call it as you want..I think that the perfect term, given the name of this man a visionary, is MIRACLE.
Miracle because it has put the inhabitants of this piece of paradise, this paradise has always a little 'snubbed, in a position to fall in love again of their land, looking at her with new eyes, making them proud to be born here.
Miracle because it made it possible to live an experience that is just wonderful define an understatement: it's wonderful, magical, surprising and unsettling, blinding in its color-changing, rowdy.
Miracle because it stirred thoughts, he created culture by making sure that people knew and they informed.
Miracle because it has brought the world's attention on an area that has always existed and has always been a favorite destination of that niche tourism that seeks quality, hospitality, beauty, but without those frills that don't belong to a culture that puts the focus of its life in the sacrifice and hard work.
Miracle because we all feel a bit more patriotic (I am quite campanilist, and  I love my land, and to me is the most beautiful place in the world, butI discover the world, when is possible) , a little more in love and are proud of our villages that eventually the attention they deserve.
Miracle because he joined, not only physically in this case but also in a metaphorical sense, all of us in a marveled approach at this thing I call precisely Miracle!
I saw many elderly walking astonished looking around, amazed by to reach the island on foot; children a bit 'scared which ,in their parents' lap, found refuge; boys and girls no longer teenagers who return young, mouth wide open in front of such great beauty and thousands of funny pics; lovers capture a kiss on the water ....
There have been many criticisms of it all. Traffic, disruption with train / ferry / bus, queues, parking..Many people, a lot, maybe too much for a small country like Sulzano that doesn't have the capacity to accommodate tens of thousands of people all together ..
But trust me .... Come see The Floating Piers, beyond any polemics, it should be lived, because it is magical work that you live and you do not look only ...

The Floating Piers Let's start the countdown

Manca veramente pochissimo, solo 11 giorni ci separano dall'evento dell'anno che ha messo in subbuglio tutto il Lago d'Iseo e la Franciacorta. Il popolo si divide tra favorevoli e contrari; da una parte gli entusiasti, tra cui fieramente rientro anche io, che vedono nel ponte una possibilità di far conoscere al mondo questa piccola perla e dall'altra parte i disfattisti che vedono in questo evento solo traffico, fiumi di persone e difficoltà di spostamento nel lavoro e nella vita quotidiana: posso concordare ma suvvia, si tratta di portar pazienza per pochi giorni..che sarà mai!!!

Ebbene, come lo raggiungiamo questi ponti? Un treno collega Brescia alla Valle Camonica costeggiando tutto il lago, e raggiungendo naturalmente anche Sulzano, il paese che ospita l'attacco del ponte. Vi è poi la possibilità di raggiungere vari punti di Monteisola tramite i battelli che collegano appunto l'isola con la terraferma con partenze dai punti indicati nella cartina qui sopra.

Ovviamente è possibile raggiungere Sulzano anche con l'auto che dovrà essere lasciata in appositi parcheggi serviti da bus navetta, per tutte le informazioni vi consiglio di installare la App ufficiale che in tempo reale vi indica dove poter trovare posto.

Il ponte sta per essere completato, gli addetti stanno correndo contro il tempo per consegnare a tutti noi questa magnifica e avvenieristica opera, nata dalla mente visionaria di una persona disponibile e gentile con tutti (e chi ha avuto la fortuna di incontrarlo e scambiare due parole, sicuramente è del mio stesso parere) che sta dando, a mio parere, una grande possibilità a questo piccolo e incantevole territorio, fino a pochi mesi fa, sconosciuto al grande pubblico...che se ne innamorerà non appena potrà viverlo.

Nel frattempo anche Sulzano si sta preparando a festa (così come l'isola) addobbandosi e preparandosi per mostrare il meglio di se e dei suoi romantici vicoletti, per poi accompagnarci su questi spettacolari ponti che ci faranno letteralmente camminare sulle acque, e come consigli Christo stesso, possibilmente senza scarpe, per godere appieno delle sensazioni di movimento!!!

Non vedo l'ora!!! E voi???????

Only 11 days separate us from the event of the year that has created a stir around the Lake Iseo and Franciacorta. The people is divided between those for and against; one part enthusiasts, including fiercely me, who see in the bridge a chance to let the world know this little pearl and across the defeatists who see in this event only traffic, too many people and traveling difficulties in work and in daily life: I can agree but come on, it's take patience for a few days .. but who cares!!!

Well, as we reach these bridges? A train  connects Brescia to Valle Camonica along the lake, and of course also reaching Sulzano, the village which host the start of the bridge. 

Then there is the possibility to reach various points  of Monteisola through the ferries  that just connect the island with the mainland with departures from the points indicated on the map above.

Of course you can also reach Sulzano by car which must be left in the designated parking served by shuttle bus, for all the information I recommend you to install the official App which, in real time, tells you where to find a parking

The bridges are almost ready, workers are racing against time to give to all of us this magnificent and futuristic work, born from the visionary mind of an available person and kind with everyone (and who has had the good fortune to meet him and chatted with him , surely has my own opinion) that is giving, in my opinion, a great opportunity for this charming small territory, until a few months ago, unknown to the public ... that will fall in love 

Meanwhile Sulzano is preparing to "party" (as the island too) decorating its streets and preparing to show its best and its romantic alleyways, and then accompany us on these spectacular bridges that will make you literally walk on water, and as Christo suggests, without shoes, to fully enjoy the sensations of movement !!!
